सत्यस्य वचन साधु न सत्याद् विद्यते परम् सत्येन विधुृतं सर्व सर्व सत्ये प्रतेछ्ठितम्,सत्य बोलना शुभ कर्म है। सत्यसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई कार्य नहीं है। सत्यने ही सबको धारण कर रखा है और सत्यमें ही सब कुछ प्रतिष्ठित है
bhīṣma uvāca | satyasya vacanaṃ sādhu na satyād vidyate param | satyena vidhṛtaṃ sarvaṃ sarvaṃ satye pratiṣṭhitam ||
قال بهيشما: إن قول الحق فعلٌ نبيل؛ ولا شيء أسمى من الحق. بالحق تُحفظ الأشياء كلها، وفي الحق يجد كل شيء أساسه الراسخ. وفي هذا التعليم في الدارما يبيّن بهيشما أن الصدق ليس فضيلةً شخصية فحسب، بل هو المبدأ الذي يسند النظام الأخلاقي للعالم.
