Gārhasthya-Śreṣṭhatā and Kṣatriya-Daṇḍadhāraṇa
Householder Primacy and the Royal Duty of Punishment
एता विद्या: क्षत्रियाणां राजन् संसिद्धिकारिका: । अपि गाथामिमां चापि बृहस्पतिरगायत,राजन! ये विद्याएँ (धार्मिक क्रियाएँ) क्षत्रियोंको सदा सिद्धि प्रदान करनेवाली हैं। इस विषयमें बृहस्पतिजीने इस गाथाका भी गान किया है
etā vidyāḥ kṣatriyāṇāṃ rājan saṃsiddhikārikāḥ | api gāthām imāṃ cāpi bṛhaspatir agāyat ||
قال فياسا: «أيها الملك، إنّ هذه الرياضات والواجبات المقدّسة هي التي تمنح الكشترِيّا تمامَ الإنجاز والنجاح المتيقَّن. وفي هذا الشأن بعينه أنشد بْرِهَسْبَتِي قديمًا بيتًا موروثًا.»
