राजाप्येतेन विधिना भगवन्तं पितामहम्‌ । यथैव द्विजशार्दूलस्तथैव प्राविशत्‌ तदा,राजा इक्ष्वाकु भी उस श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणकी ही भाँति विधिपूर्वक भगवान्‌ ब्रह्माजीके मुखारविन्दमें प्रविष्ट हो गये

bhīṣma uvāca | rājāpy etena vidhinā bhagavantaṃ pitāmaham | yathaiva dvijaśārdūlas tathaiva prāviśat tadā ||

قال بهيشما: «وبهذه الطريقة المقرّرة نفسها دخل الملك أيضًا إلى حضرة المبارك بيتامها (Pitāmaha)، أي برهما. وكما فعل أرفع البراهمة، كذلك فعل الملك في ذلك الحين—مُقبِلًا بالانضباط وعلى وفق القاعدة.»

Status does not override dharma: even a king must follow the same disciplined, scriptural procedure (vidhi) as a learned Brahmin when approaching the divine or a revered authority.
