पृथिवी सर्वभूतानां जनित्री तद्विधा: स्त्रिय: । पुमान्‌ प्रजापतिस्तत्र शुक्रे तेजोमयं विदु:,पृथ्वी सम्पूर्ण भूतोंकी जननी है। संसारकी स्त्रियाँ भी पृथ्वीके समान ही संतानकी जननी होती हैं। पुरुष ही वहाँ प्रजापतिके समान है। पुरुषका जो वीर्य है, उसे तेज:स्वरूप समझा जाता है

pṛthivī sarvabhūtānāṁ janitrī tadvidhāḥ striyaḥ | pumān prajāpatis tatra śukre tejomayaṁ viduḥ ||

قال بهارادفاجا: «الأرضُ هي الأمُّ التي تلد جميع الكائنات؛ وكذلك النساءُ على شاكلة الأرض من حيث إنهن يحملن النسل ويُخرِجنه إلى الوجود. وفي هذا المسار يُعَدُّ الرجلُ كأنه براجاباتي (Prajāpati)، ويُفهَم منيُّ الرجل على أنه ذو طبيعة التيجَس (tejas)، أي الإشراق الحيوي.»
