धारयामि च चीराणि शाणक्षौमाजिनानि च । महाहाणि च वासांसि धारयाम्यहमेकदा,“मैं कभी तो चिथड़े अथवा वलल््कल पहनकर रहता हूँ, कभी सनके, कभी रेशमके और कभी मृगचर्मके वस्त्र धारण करता हूँ तथा किसी एक कालमें बहुत-से बहुमूल्य वस्त्रोंको भी पहन लेता हूँ
dhārayāmi ca cīrāṇi śāṇakṣaumājināni ca | mahāhāṇi ca vāsāṃsi dhārayāmy aham ekadā ||
قال بهيشما: «أحيانًا ألبس الخِرَق، وأحيانًا ألبس ثوب اللحاء، وأحيانًا ألبس ثياب القنّب أو الكتّان، وأحيانًا أرتدي جلد الغزال. ومع ذلك، ففي بعض الأوقات ألبس أيضًا أرديةً كثيرةً نفيسة.»
