अध्याय १७८ — प्राणवायुगतिः तथा शारीराग्निव्यवस्था
Adhyāya 178 — The courses of prāṇa-vāyu and the regulation of the bodily fire
न चैवाविहितं शक्यं दक्षेणापीहितुं धनम् । युक्तेन श्रद्धया सम्यगीहां समनुतिष्ठता,“मनुष्य कैसा ही चतुर क्यों न हो, जो उसके भाग्यमें नहीं है, उस धनको वह श्रद्धापूर्वक भलीभाँति प्रयत्न करके भी नहीं पा सकता
na caivāvihitaṃ śakyaṃ dakṣeṇāpīhituṃ dhanam | yuktena śraddhayā samyag īhāṃ samanutiṣṭhatā ||
قال بهيشما: إنّ الرجل القادر الذكي لا يستطيع أن ينال مالًا لم يُقسَم له. فمهما أحسن السعي—منضبطًا، مؤمنًا، صادق الجهد—فإن ما لم يُقدَّر لا يقع في يده. وتُبرز هذه العبرة حدود فعل الإنسان، وتدعوه إلى الثبات على السعي القويم دون التعلّق المَرَضي بالنتائج.
