tataḥ prabhātasamaye sukhaṁ dṛṣṭvābravīd idam | gaccha saumya pathānena kṛtakṛtyo bhaviṣyasi ||
The verse conveys a courteous, dharma-inflected benediction: when one has completed the intended duty or mission (kṛtakṛtya), one should proceed calmly on the proper course, with the assurance of having done what needed to be done.
At dawn, Bhīṣma observes the addressed person to be safe and composed, then instructs him to depart by a particular route, affirming that the person’s objective has been successfully fulfilled.
