निर्वेदोपदेशः (Nirveda-Upadeśa) — Maṅki’s Dispassion and the Limits of Wealth-Seeking
ततोडब्रवीद् गौतमस्तं दरिद्रो5हं महामते । समुद्रगमनाकांक्षी द्रव्यार्थमिति भारत,भारत! तब गौतमने उससे कहा--“महामते! मैं दरिद्र हूँ और धनके लिये समुद्रतटपर जानेकी इच्छा लेकर घरसे चला हूँ”
tato 'bravīd gautamas taṃ daridro 'haṃ mahāmate | samudragamanākāṅkṣī dravyārtham iti bhārata ||
فقال غوتاما له: «يا ذا الرأي السديد، إنّي فقير. وقد خرجتُ من بيتي راغبًا في الذهاب إلى ساحل البحر طلبًا للمال، يا بهاراتا.»
