पम्प बछ। अ-काज जा एकोनसप्तत्याधिकशततमो< ध्याय: गौतमका समुद्रकी ओर प्रस्थान और संध्याके समय एक दिव्य बकपक्षीके घरपर अतिथि होना भीष्म उवाच तस्यां निशायां व्युष्टायां गते तस्मिन्‌ द्विजोत्तमे | निष्क्रम्य गौतमो5गच्छत्‌ समुद्र प्रति भारत

bhīṣma uvāca | tasyāṃ niśāyāṃ vyuṣṭāyāṃ gate tasmin dvijottame | niṣkramya gautamo ’gacchat samudraṃ prati bhārata ||

قال بيشما: «يا بهاراتا (يودهيشثيرا)، لما انقضت تلك الليلة وأقبل الفجر، ولما غادر ذلك البرهميُّ الفاضلُ المكان، خرج غوتاما أيضًا من مسكنه وسار قاصدًا المحيط.»
