भीष्म उवाच
The verse frames a dharmic transition: after the night’s events conclude and a revered brahmin departs, Gautama promptly resumes his purposeful course toward the ocean. It highlights steadiness in vow and conduct—moving forward without delay once one’s immediate duties (such as hosting or responding to circumstances) are complete.
Bhishma narrates to Yudhishthira that, at daybreak, after an eminent brahmin leaves, the sage Gautama also departs from his place and proceeds toward the sea, continuing the episode’s journey sequence in the Āpaddharma context.
