On the Faults of Discontent and the Discipline of Detachment

ते जनास्तां गति यान्ति नाविद्वांसो5ल्पचेतस: । नाबुद्धयो नातपस: सर्व बुद्धौ प्रतेष्ठितम्
Translation
لا يبلغ الناس تلك الغايةَ مَن كان جاهلًا ضيّقَ الفهم؛ ولا يبلغها من خلا من الحكمة، ولا من خلا من التنسّك. فإن كلَّ شيءٍ قائمٌ على البُدْهي (buddhi: العقل الراجح/البصيرة). لذلك لا ينال تلك المنزلة إلا العاقلُ الحكيمُ والزاهدُ صاحبُ التَّبَس (التقشّف الروحي)، أمّا الجهّالُ، وبُطّاءُ العقول، ومن لا يملكون بصيرةً صافية، والخالون من المجاهدة—فلا ينالونها.
