Satya-lakṣaṇa (The Characteristics and Forms of Truth) | सत्यलक्षणम्
असारक्नापि दुर्मेधा: केवलं बहु भाषसे । क्रोधादिभिरवच्छन्नो मिथ्या वदसि शाल्मले,शाल्मले! तुम सारहीन और दुर्बुद्धि हो, केवल बहुत बातें बनाते हो तथा क्रोध आदि दुर्गुणोंसे प्रेरित होकर झूठ बोलते हो
asāraknāpi durmedhāḥ kevalaṃ bahu bhāṣase | krodhādibhir avacchanno mithyā vadasi śālmale śālmale ||
قال نارادا: «إنك خالٍ من الجوهر، ضعيف الفهم، لا تجيد إلا الإطالة في الكلام. وقد غشّاك الغضب وسائر العيوب، فتنطق بالباطل، يا شالملي—يا شالملي!»
