यो यस्मिन् जीवति स्वार्थ पश्येत् पीडां न जीवति । स तस््य मित्र तावत् स्याद् यावन्न स्याद् विपर्यय:
Translation
«من رأى أن مصلحته تُقضى ما دام الرجل حيًّا، وأن موته يُعدّ عليه خسارة—فإنه يظلّ صديقًا له ما دامت الحال على ذلك ولم تنقلب.»
