Āśā-prabhava (आशाप्रभव) — On the Rise and Power of Hope/Expectation

आत्मनस्तु ततः श्रेयो भार्गवात्‌ सुमहातपा: । ज्ञानमागमयत् प्रीत्या पुन: स परमद्युति:,तब परम तेजस्वी महातपस्वी इन्द्रने प्रसन्नता-पूर्वक शुक्राचार्यसे पुन: अपने लिये श्रेयका ज्ञान प्राप्त किया

ātmanaḥ tu tataḥ śreyo bhārgavāt sumahātapāḥ | jñānam āgamayat prītyā punaḥ sa paramadyutiḥ ||

ثمّ، طلبًا لخيرِه الأسمى، عاد ذلك الزاهدُ العظيم المتلألئ بأبهى الضياء، وبنفسٍ راضيةٍ موقّرة، إلى بهارغافا (شُكْرَاتشاريا) فاستحصل منه معرفةَ ما هو نافعٌ حقًّا. وتؤكّد الآية أنّ ذوي السلطان أيضًا لا بدّ لهم أن يرجعوا مرارًا إلى المعلّمين الحكماء ليتعلّموا سبيلَ الصلاح والاستقامة في السلوك وفق الدَّرْمَا.
