Daṇḍotpatti-kathana (Origin and Function of Daṇḍa) — वसुहोम–मान्धातृ संवाद

यश्ष वेद: स वै धर्मो यक्ष धर्म: स सत्पथ: । ब्रह्मा पितामहः पूर्व बभूवाथ प्रजापति:,जो वेद है, वही धर्म है और जो धर्म है, वही सत्पुरुषोंका सन्मार्ग है। सत्पुरुष हैं लोकपितामह प्रजापति ब्रह्माजी, जो सबसे पहले प्रकट हुए थे

yaś ca vedaḥ sa vai dharmo yaś ca dharmaḥ sa satpathaḥ | brahmā pitāmahaḥ pūrvaṃ babhūvātha prajāpatiḥ ||

قال بهيشما: «إن ما هو الفيدا فهو حقًّا الدارما؛ وما هو الدارما فهو السبيل القويم الذي يسلكه الصالحون. وأول من تجلّى من بين الكائنات كان براهما—الجدّ الأكبر—وهو أيضًا براجابتي، مولِّد الخلائق.»
