Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तथा कुरु महाबाहो सर्वज्ञस्त्वं न संशय: । 'भगवन्! यह चीता कुत्तोंका शत्रु है और मुझे मार डालना चाहता है। महामुने! महाबाहो! आप ऐसा करें
tathā kuru mahābāho sarvajñas tvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ |
قال بيشما: «فاصنعْ إذنْ كذلك، يا عظيمَ الساعد. إنك عليمٌ بكل شيء—لا ريب في ذلك». وفي سياق الكلام هي استغاثةٌ بطلب الحماية رحمةً: إذ يستند المتضرّع إلى بصيرةِ الحكيم الكلّيّة المعرفة، ويلتمس تدبيرًا يرفع عنه الخوف من سبعٍ مهدِّد، جاعلًا الطلب امتحانًا للبرّ وحسنِ الفعل تجاه الضعيف.
