Satya–Anṛta Viveka (Discrimination between Truth and Falsehood) | सत्य–अनृत विवेकः
येउन्यायेन जिहीर्षन्तो धनमिच्छन्ति कस्यचित् । तेभ्यस्तु न तदाख्येयं स धर्म इति निश्चय:
ye 'nyāyena jihīrṣantaḥ dhanam icchanti kasyacit | tebhyaḥ tu na tad ākhyeyaṁ sa dharma iti niścayaḥ ||
قال بهيشما: من اندفعوا بالظلم يريدون اغتصاب مال غيرهم ويحاولون معرفة موضعه—فلا ينبغي أن تُفشى لهم تلك المعلومة. إن حجبها عن اللصوص هو الدارما حقًّا؛ وهذه هي العقيدة المستقرة.
भीष्म उवाच
Do not assist wrongdoing through speech: if someone seeks information to commit theft or unlawful seizure, withholding that information is righteous conduct (dharma).
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma, Bhishma advises on ethical speech and social responsibility, stating that one should not reveal a wealthy person’s assets or whereabouts to people intending unlawful plunder.
