जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
समानपृष्ठोदरपाणिपादा: पराभवं भीरवो वै व्रजन्ति । अतो भरयार्ता: प्रणिपत्य भूय: कृत्वाञ्जलीनुपतिष्ठन्ति शूरान्
samānapṛṣṭhodarapāṇipādāḥ parābhavaṃ bhīravo vai vrajanti | ato bhayārtāḥ praṇipatya bhūyaḥ kṛtvāñjalīn upatiṣṭhanti śūrān vīrān ||
قال بهيشما: «مع أنّ الجبناء لهم الظهر والبطن واليدان والقدمان نفسها التي للشجعان، فإنّ الخائفين هم الذين يلقون المهانة في العالم. لذلك إذا استولى عليهم الفزع انحنَوا مرارًا بأكفٍّ مطبقة، يلتمسون الملجأ عند الأبطال الشداد والفرسان البواسل.»
