Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic conduct through reverence and proper order: worship (pūjā) is offered to the presiding deity of a domain, and thereafter each being returns to its rightful station, reflecting harmony with cosmic governance.

After honoring Varuṇa, the Lord of waters, the gathered gods conclude the rite and depart, each going back to his own abode—signaling the completion of a ceremonial moment and restoration of normal divine order.
