ते सर्वे स्वर्गते तस्मिंस्तस्य पुत्रानपूजयन् । राजन! उन महात्मा गौतमके यजमान जो राजा लोग थे, वे सब उनके स्वर्गवासी हो जानेपर उनके पुत्रोंका ही आदर-सत्कार करने लगे
te sarve svargate tasmiṁs tasya putrān apūjayan | rājan |
قال فايشَمبايانا: «أيها الملك، لما ارتحل ذلك العظيم غوتَما إلى السماء، فإن جميع أولئك الملوك—الذين كانوا من قبلُ يَجَمانا (yajamāna)، أي رعاة القرابين والطقوس التي كان يقيمها غوتَما—حوّلوا توقيرهم وكرم ضيافتهم إلى أبنائه.»
