सुयोधन किमर्थो5यमारम्भो<प्सु कृतस्त्वया । सर्व क्षत्रं घातयित्वा स्वकुलं च विशाम्पते,'प्रजानाथ सुयोधन! तुमने किसलिये पानीमें यह अनुष्ठान आरम्भ किया है। सम्पूर्ण क्षत्रियों तथा अपने कुलका संहार कराकर आज अपनी जान बचानेकी इच्छासे तुम जलाशयमें घुसे बैठे हो। राजा सुयोधन! उठो और हम लोगोंके साथ युद्ध करो

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | suyodhana kim artho ’yam ārambho ’psu kṛtas tvayā | sarva-kṣatraṁ ghātayitvā sva-kulaṁ ca viśāṁ-pate ||

Translation

قال سنجيا: «يا سويودhana، لأيِّ غرضٍ بدأتَ هذا الفعلَ في الماء؟ بعد أن تسببتَ في هلاك طبقة الكشترية بأسرها، بل وفي فناء سلالتك أنت أيضًا، يا سيدَ الرعية، ها أنت اليوم تختبئ في البحيرة طلبًا لنجاة نفسك. انهضْ يا ملك سويودhana، وقاتِلْ معنا!»
