Śālva’s Elephant Assault and the Counterstroke (शाल्वस्य नागारूढाभ्यवहारः)
पताकाध्वजसंछन्नं पदातीनां महद् बलम्
patākādhvajasaṃchannaṃ padātīnāṃ mahad balam
قال سنجيا: «تراءتْ قوةٌ عظيمةٌ من المشاة، قد غطّتها الراياتُ والألوية.» يوحي هذا السطر بهول الحجم وبمهابة الموكب الحربي—إذ إن علامات المجد الظاهر (الأعلام والشعارات) تُخفي الكتلة البشرية تحتها، مُلمِّحةً إلى الثقل الأخلاقي وإلى المعاناة الوشيكة التي تحملها مثل هذه الجيوش.
