अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत सौप्तिकपर्वके अन्तर्गत ऐषीकपर्वमें ब्रह्मासत्रका पाण्डवोके गर्भमें प्रवेशविषयक पंद्रहवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,इतश्वोर्ध्व महाबाहु: कुरुराजो भविष्यति
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate sauptikaparvake antargata aiṣīkaparvaṇi brahmāstrasya pāṇḍavānāṁ garbhe praveśaviṣayakaḥ pañcadaśo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ | itaś cordhvaṁ mahābāhuḥ kururājo bhaviṣyati ||
وهكذا، في «شري مهابهاراتا»، ضمن «سوبتيكا بارفا»—وخاصة في قسم «أيشِيكا»—يُختَتم الفصل الخامس عشر، المتعلق بدخول سلاح «براهماسترا» إلى رحم سلالة الباندافا. ومن هنا فصاعدًا سيولد ملكٌ من الكورو عظيمُ الساعدين.
