Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament

कर्णिनालीकरदंष्टस्य खड्गजिह्डस्य संयुगे । चापव्यात्तस्य रौद्रस्य ज्यातलस्वननादिन:

karṇinālīkaradaṁṣṭasya khaḍgajihvasya saṁyuge | cāpavyāttasya raudrasya jyātalasvananādinaḥ ||

قال سوتا: في ساحة القتال كان أسدًا مهيبًا بين الرجال، ممتلئًا غضبًا. وكانت سهام «كارنين» و«ناليكا» كأنها أنيابه، والسيف المرفوع في المعمعة كأنه لسانه. وشدُّ القوس كأنه اتساع فمه، وطنين الوتر كأنه زئيره. والذين أفلتوا أحياءً من يد ذلك الرجل-الأسد الرهيب—الذي لم يُولِّ ظهره قط في الحرب—هم هؤلاء بعينهم، قرابتي، قد قُتلوا الآن بسبب غفلتهم.
