True spiritual radiance is linked with inner freedom from grief and anxious agitation; the ideal sage is portrayed as both ritually grounded (Soma-sacrifice) and mentally untroubled (viśoka, vigatajvara).
Narada is describing a class of divine sages associated with Soma, emphasizing their luminous nature and their freedom from sorrow and distress, while noting their engagement in Soma-sacrificial rites.
