Victory aligned with dharma is portrayed as a collective responsibility and shared fruit: the king (Yudhiṣṭhira) rejoices not in personal glory but in the successful fulfillment of duty carried out by his brothers, reinforcing unity, gratitude, and righteous governance.
After Jarāsandha is destroyed, Yudhiṣṭhira (Ajātaśatru) receives the outcome of the conquest achieved by his two brothers and becomes joyful together with all his brothers, marking a turning point that strengthens the Pāṇḍavas’ position for subsequent royal aims.
