The Commencement of the Great Departure
गमनाय मतिं चक्रे भ्रातरश्षास्य ते तदा | उन धर्मात्मा नरेशने नगर और जनपदके लोगोंको समझा-बुझाकर उनकी अनुमति प्राप्त कर ली। फिर उन्होंने और उनके भाइयोंने सब कुछ त्यागकर महा-प्रस्थान करनेका ही निश्चय किया
gamanāya matiṁ cakre bhrātaraś cāsya te tadā |
قال فَيْشَمْبَايَنَة: عندئذٍ عزم أولئك الإخوة على الرحيل. وبعد أن وعظ الملكُ البارّ وإخوته أهلَ المدينة وأهلَ الإقليم وأقنعوهم ونالوا رضاهم، نبذوا كلَّ شيءٍ واختاروا بثبات طريق «المهابرَسْثَانَة»—الرحيل العظيم.
