विराटभवने यश्न क्लेशोडस्माकं पृथग्विध: । शकुनेर्धार्तराष्ट्रस्य राधेयस्य च मन्त्रिते
virāṭa-bhavane yaśna kleśo 'smākaṃ pṛthag-vidhaḥ | śakuner dhārtarāṣṭrasya rādhēyasya ca mantrite ||
قال سَنْجَايَا: «في قصرِ فيرَاطا تلوّنت محنُنا بأشكال شتّى، ناشئةً من مشورةِ شكوني، ومن تدبيرِ ابنِ دْهْرِتَرَاشْتْرَا، ومن مكايدِ رادْهَيَا (كارنا).»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how collective suffering can arise from misguided counsel and manipulative strategy: when leaders rely on deceitful advisers and self-serving plans, the resulting ‘kleśa’ multiplies in many forms and spreads to the whole side.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, in connection with events at Virāṭa’s palace, the Kauravas faced manifold difficulties—linked to the counsels and schemes associated with Śakuni, Duryodhana (the Dhārtarāṣṭra), and Karna.
