विलम्बमानं तत् सैन्यमप्रगल्भमवस्थितम् । दृष्टवा प्राच्छादयद् बाणैरर्जुन: प्राणतापनै:,उस सेनाको जडवत्, उद्योगशून्य हुई देख अर्जुनने प्राणोंको संतप्त कर देनेवाले बाणोंद्वारा उसे आच्छादित कर दिया
vilambamānaṃ tat sainyam apragalbham avasthitam | dṛṣṭvā prācchādayad bāṇair arjunaḥ prāṇatāpanaiḥ ||
قال سانجيا: لما رأى أرجونا ذلك الجيش متباطئًا مترددًا، قائمًا بلا جرأة ولا مبادرة، غمره بوابلٍ من السهام يلهب أنفاس الحياة.
संजय उवाच
In a dharmic battle, hesitation and lack of resolve (apragalbhatā) invite defeat; disciplined, timely action by one who knows his duty can decisively change the field. The verse implicitly warns that moral and strategic wavering becomes a vulnerability.
Sañjaya reports that Arjuna notices the opposing army standing sluggishly and without initiative; Arjuna then showers it with deadly arrows, effectively overwhelming and pressuring the troops.
