तथा तत् पाण्डवं सैन्यं कर्णमासाद्य दीर्यते । जैसे जलका महान् प्रवाह किसी ऊँचे पर्वतसे टकराकर कई धाराओंमें बँट जाता है, उसी प्रकार पाण्डवसेना कर्णके पास पहुँचकर तितर-बितर हो जाती थी
tathā tat pāṇḍavaṃ sainyaṃ karṇam āsādya dīryate |
قال سانجيا: «وهكذا، فإن جيش الباندافا ما إن بلغ إلى كارنا حتى تكسّر وتفرّق. وكما أن سيلًا عظيمًا إذا اصطدم بجبل شامخ انقسم إلى جداول كثيرة، كذلك جيش الباندافا حين واجه كارنا تشتّت واضطربت صفوفه.»
