Karṇa-parva Adhyāya 58 — Arjuna’s Arrow-Storm and Relief of Bhīmasena
नाशकद् भरतश्रेष्ठ यतमानो महारथ: । भरतश्रेष्ठ! यद्यपि धृष्टद्युम्न रथहीन हो गये थे
na aśakad bharataśreṣṭha yatamāno mahārathaḥ |
قال سانجيا: «يا خيرَ آلِ بهاراتا، مع أن أشڤاتّاما، ذلك المقاتل العظيم على العربة، بذل غاية جهده، لم يستطع قتل دْهريشتاديومنَ. فحتى حين صار دْهريشتاديومنَ بلا عربة، وقد قُتِلَت خيله، وقُطِع قوسُه، وأُصيب مرارًا بالسهام—وجسده منهكٌ ممزّقٌ بوقع السلاح—ظلّ أشڤاتّاما، رغم المحاولة الدؤوبة، عاجزًا عن إزهاق روحه.»
