कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
'देवेश्वरर आपके आदेशसे इस प्रजापतिपदपर स्थित रहते हुए मैंने दानवोंको एक महान् वर दे दिया है ।।
deveśvara, tava ādeśena asmin prajāpati-pade sthitaḥ san mayā dānavānāṃ mahān varaḥ pradattaḥ. te taṃ prāpya maryādām atikrāntāḥ. nānyaḥ saṃhartum arhati tvām ṛte, bhūta-bhavyeśa maheśvara; teṣāṃ vadhāya tvam eva pratyarir bhavitum arhasi.
قال دوريودhana: «يا ربَّ الآلهة! امتثالًا لأمرك، وأنا قائمٌ في منصب براجابتي، منحتُ الدانَفَةَ منحةً عظيمة. فلما نالوها تجاوزوا كلَّ حدّ. يا ماهيشڤرا، يا سيّد الماضي والمستقبل! لا أحد غيرك يقدر على إفنائهم؛ ولقتلهم لا يقف لهم عدوٌّ مضادّ إلا أنت وحدك.»
