abravīt tasya bahuśo guṇān devyāḥ samīpataḥ | bhaktimān eṣa satataṃ mayi rāmo dṛḍhavrataḥ ||
Steadfast observance of vows (dṛḍha-vrata) and sustained devotion (satata-bhakti) are presented as virtues worthy of repeated praise, implying that moral discipline underwrites spiritual and social authority.
Duryodhana reports that someone spoke repeatedly of Paraśurāma’s virtues in the presence of the Goddess Pārvatī, emphasizing that Paraśurāma is continually devoted to the speaker (“to me”), thereby underscoring a bond of loyalty and endorsement.
