The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of satyasaṃdha—steadfastness to one’s pledged word—joined with disciplined intelligence (dhīmat) and formidable strength. It frames martial power as ethically marked by fidelity to vows, even amid the moral strain of war.
Sañjaya, narrating the battle to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, foretells that the Kauravas will witness Karṇa’s irresistible and seemingly inexhaustible prowess in the day’s combat, emphasizing his readiness and the scale of his martial capacity.
