प्रेषषामास राजेन्द्र ते5स्या भ्रश्यन्त वर्मण: । राजेन्द्र! फिर सोनेकी पाँखवाले नब्बे पैने बाण उसने चलाये, परंतु वे कृतवर्माके कवचसे फिसलकर गिर गये
sañjaya uvāca | preṣayāmāsa rājendra te ’syā bhraśyanta varmaṇaḥ |
قال سنجيا: أيها الملك، لقد أطلق تلك السهام، لكنها انزلقت عن درعه وسقطت. ففي زحمة القتال تلاقي مهارةُ المحارب حمايةً اكتسبها بالاستعداد والثبات، حتى إن وابلًا شديدًا قد يَخيب إذا اصطدم بدفاعٍ راسخ.
