Śalya’s Objection to Sārathya and Duryodhana’s Conciliation (शल्यमन्यु-प्रशमनम् / Sārathyāṅgīkāra)

प्रासै: खड्गैश्न रहितानृष्टिभिश्चवापि भारत । हयसादीनपश्याम कज्चुकोष्णीषधारिण:,भारत! कवच और पगड़ी धारण करनेवाले कितने ही घुड़सवारोंको हमने प्रास, खड्ग और ऋष्टि आदि अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंसे रहित होकर मारा गया देखा। कितने ही कर्णके बाणोंकी मार खाते हुए थरथर काँप रहे थे और बहुत-से अपने शरीरके विभिन्न अवयवोंसे रहित हो यत्र-तत्र मरे पड़े थे

prāsaiḥ khaḍgaiś ca rahitān ṛṣṭibhiś cāpi bhārata | hayasādīn apaśyāma kajcukoṣṇīṣadhāriṇaḥ ||

قال سنجيا: يا بهاراتا، لقد رأينا فرسانًا كثيرين—يلبسون الدروع ويعتمّون العمائم—يُصرَعون بعدما تُركوا بلا رماح ولا سيوف ولا حتى حراب. وتحت وابل سهام كارنا كان كثيرون يرتجفون حين تُصيبهم الضربات فيسقطون، وكثيرون غيرهم كانوا مطروحين هنا وهناك، وقد بُترت منهم أعضاء شتّى.
