संनिवार्य महाबाणांस्तव पुत्रेण प्रेषितान् अथास्मै सुबहून् बाणान् प्रेषयामास संयुगे,इस प्रकार आपके पुत्रके चलाये हुए उन महाबाणोंका निवारण करके युद्धस्थलमें सहदेवने उसके ऊपर भी बहुत-से बाण छोड़े
saṁnivārya mahābāṇāṁs tava putreṇa preṣitān athāsmai subahūn bāṇān preṣayāmāsa saṁyuge
قال سانجيا: بعدما صدَّ سهَديفا السهامَ الجبّارة التي أطلقها ابنُك، أرسل إليه في خِضَمِّ القتال سهامًا كثيرةً مرتدّة—قوةً تقابل قوةً، في تبادلٍ منضبطٍ تقتضيه سننُ الحرب.
