Droṇa-parva, Adhyāya 77
इति श्रीमहा भारते द्रोणपर्वणि प्रतिज्ञापर्वण्यर्जुनवाक्ये घट्सप्ततितमो5ध्याय: ।। ७६ || इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत प्रतिज्ञापर्वमें अरजुनवाक्यविषयक छिद्वत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi pratijñāparvaṇy arjunavākye ṣaṭsaptatitamo 'dhyāyaḥ || 76 ||
قال سنجيا: «وهكذا، في المهابهاراتا الموقّرة، ضمن درونا بارفا (Droṇa Parva)، في القسم المعروف ببراتيجنا بارفا (Pratijñā Parva)، تنتهي هنا الفصل السادس والسبعون، المتمحور حول كلمات أرجونا.»
संजय उवाच
This is a colophon rather than a doctrinal verse: it underscores the ethical seriousness of pratijñā (a vow/pledge). In the epic’s war setting, words—especially vows—create binding moral pressure that shapes duty, resolve, and consequence.
Sañjaya signals the formal close of the chapter within Droṇa Parva, identifying it as part of the Pratijñā Parva and as focused on Arjuna’s speech. It functions as an editorial/narrative marker concluding the unit of the story.
