ब्राह्मेणास्त्रेण चास्त्राणि हन्यमानानि संयुगे | मया द्रष्टासि सर्वेषां सैन्धवस्याभिरक्षिणाम्,जयद्रथके समस्त रक्षकोंद्वारा छोड़े हुए अस्त्रोंको मैं युद्धमें ब्रह्मास्त्रद्वारा काट डालूँगा, यह आप देखेंगे
arjuna uvāca | brāhmeṇāstreṇa cāstrāṇi hanyamānāni saṃyuge | mayā draṣṭāsi sarveṣāṃ saindhavasya abhirakṣiṇām ||
قال أرجونا: «في لُجَّةِ القتال سأقطع بسلاح براهما (Brahmāstra) كلَّ المقذوفات التي تُرمى. وستشهد بعينيك كيف أُبطل كلَّ سلاحٍ يطلقه حُمَاةُ جايادراثا (Jayadratha).»
