अभिमन्योर् विक्रमः — Abhimanyu’s Disruptive Advance and the Gāndharva-astra Counter
तेषां तस्य च सम्मर्दो दारुग: समपद्यत | सृजतां शरवर्षाणि प्रसक्तममितौजसाम्,उस समय अति तेजस्वी कौरव योद्धा परस्पर सटे हुए बाणोंकी वर्षा कर रहे थे। उनके साथ अभिमन्युका भयंकर युद्ध होने लगा
teṣāṃ tasya ca sammardo dāruṇaḥ samapadyata | sṛjatāṃ śaravarṣāṇi prasaktam amitaujasām ||
قال سانجيا: عندئذٍ نشبت بين أولئك وبينه ملحمةٌ مروّعة، إذ إن أولئك المحاربين ذوي البأس الذي لا يُقاس، وقد التحمت صفوفهم في قتالٍ قريب، ظلّوا يطلقون وابلًا متصلًا من السهام بلا انقطاع.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the grim momentum of warfare: when mighty warriors commit to their martial duty, combat can become an unbroken cycle of attack and counterattack. It invites reflection on how dharma as battlefield obligation can coexist with the ethical tragedy of escalating violence.
Sañjaya describes a terrifying close-quarters clash: powerful warriors, pressed together, continuously discharge volleys of arrows, and a fierce melee arises between the group and a single opposing hero—understood in context as Abhimanyu facing the Kaurava fighters.
