उसने अपना विशाल धनुष फैलाकर बहुत-से बाणसमूहोंकी वर्षा करते हुए व्यूहके उस भागको योद्धाओंद्वारा भर दिया, जिसे अभिमन्युने तोड़ डाला था ।। स सात्यकिं त्रिभिबाणिरष्टभिश्न वृकोदरम् । धृष्टय्युम्नं तथा षष्ट्या विराट दशभि: शरै:

قال سنجيا: ثم أصاب ساتيَكي بثلاثة سهام، وفريكودارا (بهِيما) بثمانية، ودهريشتاديومنَة بستين، وفيراطا بعشرة نبال. وهكذا، بوابلٍ محسوبٍ من المقذوفات، أعاد إحكام السيطرة على خطّ القتال في الموضع الذي كان أبهيمانيو قد حطّم فيه التشكيل، محوِّلًا تلك الثغرة إلى جبهةٍ محتدمة التنازع.
