Educational Q&A

When destruction spreads through the ranks due to a single overpowering agent, dharma in leadership demands direct responsibility: the commander must personally confront and restrain the cause, prioritizing protection of the many over avoidance of risk.

Droṇa is wreaking havoc on the opposing army, described as ‘churning’ it through extraordinary martial prowess. Seeing the troops being broken, the commander Dhṛṣṭadyumna advances to Droṇa and attempts to stop or check him in battle.
