Educational Q&A

Even amid violent conflict, the narrative highlights dharma through intention: Yuyutsu acts not for cruelty but to safeguard Yudhishthira’s welfare and to prevent an imminent threat to Drona’s front—showing loyalty to the righteous cause and disciplined, purposeful action.

Subahu advances toward Drona and begins shooting. Yuyutsu intercepts him and, using two razor-edged arrows, severs Subahu’s two arms, thereby stopping his assault and protecting the Pandava side’s strategic interests.
