- १३६ ॥- द्रोणपर्वकी सम्पूर्ण एलोक-संख्या ९९१७८ श्रवण-महिमा स्वधीते यत्‌ फल वेदे तदस्मिन्नपि पर्वणि । क्षत्रियाणामभीरूणां युक्तमत्र महद्‌ यश:

drauṇaparvaki sampūrṇa śloka-saṅkhyā 99178 | śravaṇa-mahimā svadhīte yat phalaṃ vede tad asminn api parvaṇi | kṣatriyāṇām abhīrūṇāṃ yuktam atra mahad yaśaḥ ||

Translation

في «دروṇa پرفا» يبلغ مجموع الأبيات 99,178. إن الثواب وقوة التطهير الناشئة عن السماع (لهذا القسم) هي عين الثمرة التي يذكرها الڤيدا لمن أتقن دراسته على وجهها؛ وتلك الثمرة موجودة في هذا الپرفا أيضاً. وهنا تُنسب، على وجه الاستحقاق، شهرة عظيمة إلى الكشاتريا الشجعان الذين لا يهابون.
