तच्छुत्वा द्रोणपुत्रस्य पर्यवर्तत वाहिनी । ततः सर्वे महाशड्खान् दध्मु: पुरुषसत्तमा:,द्रोणपुत्र अश्वत्थामाकी वह बात सुनकर कौरवोंकी सेना लौट आयी। फिर तो सभी पुरुषश्रेष्ठ वीर बड़े-बड़े शंख बजाने लगे
tac chrutvā droṇaputrasya paryavartata vāhinī | tataḥ sarve mahāśaṅkhān dadhmuḥ puruṣasattamāḥ ||
قال سنجيا: لما سمع جيش الكورافا كلام ابن درونا (أشڤاتثاما) ارتدّ راجعًا. ثم نفخ أولئك الرجال الأفاضل في محاراتهم العظيمة، فجمعوا الصفوف وأعلنوا عزيمةً متجددة وسط اضطراب الحرب.
