स देवदत्तमादाय शड्खं हेमपरिष्कृतम् दध्मौ वेगेन महता घोषेणापूरयन् दिश:,उन्होंने सुवर्णजटित देवदत्त नामक शंख लेकर उसकी ध्वनिसे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको परिपूर्ण करते हुए उसे बड़े वेगसे बजाया
sa devadattam ādāya śaṅkhaṃ hema-pariṣkṛtam | dadhmau vegena mahatā ghoṣeṇāpūrayan diśaḥ ||
قال سَنْجَيا: ثم تناول الصدفةَ المحاريةَ المسماة «ديفاداتّا» والمزدانة بالذهب، ونفخ فيها بقوة عظيمة، فملأ الجهاتِ بدويٍّ مدوٍّ.
