एकैकस्तु ततः पार्थ राजन् विव्याध पठ्चभि: । सच तान् प्रतिविव्याध द्वाभ्यां द्वाभ्यां पराक्रमी,राजन! फिर उनमेंसे एक-एक योद्धाने अर्जुनको पाँच-पाँच बाणोंसे बींध डाला और पराक्रमी अर्जुनने भी दो-दो बाणोंद्वारा उन सबको घायल करके तुरंत बदला चुकाया
ekaikaḥ tu tataḥ pārtha rājan vivyādha pañcabhiḥ | sa ca tān prativivyādha dvābhyāṃ dvābhyāṃ parākramī ||
قال سنجيا: ثم، أيها الملك، إن كلَّ محاربٍ على التوالي طعن بارثا، ابن بريثا (أرجونا)، بخمسة سهام. فأرجونا الجسور ردّ عليهم في الحال، فأصاب كلَّ واحدٍ بسهمين، مجرحًا إياهم ومجيبًا هجومهم بلا إبطاء—صورةٌ للتكافؤ القتالي السريع في ظل شريعة الحرب الصارمة.
