तथाडूुदैर्निपतितैव्यराजत वसुंधरा । प्रावृट्काले महाराज विद्युदूभिरिव तोयद:,महाराज! वीरोंके गिरे हुए चमकीले बाजूबन्दोंसे वहाँकी भूमि वैसी ही शोभा पा रही थी, जैसे वर्षाकालमें बिजलियोंसे मेघ प्रकाशित होता है

sañjaya uvāca | tathāḍūḍair nipatitair vyarājata vasuṃdharā | prāvṛṭ-kāle mahārāja vidyudbhir iva toyadaḥ ||

قال سنجيا: أيها الملك العظيم، لقد أشرقت الأرض بما سقط عليها من أساور الأذرع اللامعة للفرسان القتلى، كما يضيء السحاب في موسم المطر بومضات البرق.
