Arjuna-vīrya-prasaṃśā and renewed battle formation
मम ह्वमोघा दत्तेयं शक्ति: शक्रेण वै द्विज । एतया निहनिष्यामि सव्यसाचिनमाहवे,“तथापि मैं इन्द्रकी दी हुई शक्तिसे कुन्तीके पुत्रोंको जीत लूँगा। ब्रह्मन! मुझे इन्द्रने यह अमोघ शक्ति दे रखी है; इसके द्वारा मैं सव्यसाची अर्जुनको युद्धमें अवश्य मार डालूँगा
mama hy amoghā datteyaṁ śaktiḥ śakreṇa vai dvija | etayā nihaniṣyāmi savyasācinam āhave ||
قال سنجيا: «يا براهمن، إن هذه الشاكتي (śakti) التي لا تُخطئ قد مُنِحت لي حقًّا من شَكْرَة (إندرا). وبها، في ساحة القتال، سأضرب سافياساشين (أرجونا).»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical tension between human effort and reliance on irresistible divine boons: possessing an ‘unfailing’ weapon can tempt a warrior to seek decisive victory through extraordinary means, raising questions about fairness, restraint, and the moral weight of power in war.
Sañjaya reports a warrior’s resolve to use an unfailing Śakti weapon, granted by Indra, to kill Arjuna (Savyasācin) in battle—signaling an escalation in the conflict through the deployment of a divine, near-inevitable force.
