Droṇa-parva 112: Karṇa–Bhīma Engagement and Duryodhana’s Protective Order

A leader must translate collective resolve into effective action: Yudhiṣṭhira commits to deploying a proven ally (Śaineya/Sātyaki) and urges that the shared vow of the Pāṇḍavas regarding the addressed Vāṣṇeya not be rendered futile. The ethical emphasis is on steadfastness, reliability, and honoring commitments in a crisis.
In the midst of the Drona Parva’s battlefield pressures, Yudhiṣṭhira speaks to a Vṛṣṇi hero (addressed as Vāṣṇeya), stating he will assign Śaineya (Sātyaki) for support because no one equals him for that task, and he insists that the plan/resolve held by Arjuna, Yudhiṣṭhira, Bhīma, and the twin sons of Mādrī concerning the addressee must not fail.
