पृथिवीं चान्तरिक्षं च दिशश्वैव समावृणोत् । कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुनने देवदत्त नामक शंख बजाया और श्रीकृष्णने पांचजन्य। धनंजयके बजाये हुए देवदत्तका शब्द पृथ्वी, आकाश तथा सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंमें व्याप्त हो गया ।। १२ $ई || तथैव पाञ्चजन्योड5पि वासुदेवसमीरित:
pṛthivīṃ cāntarikṣaṃ ca diśaś caiva samāvṛṇot | tathaiva pāñcajanyo 'pi vāsudeva-samīritaḥ ||
قال سنجيا: لقد انتشر ذلك الصوت في الأرض، وفي الفضاء المتوسط، وفي جميع الجهات. وكذلك دوّى صَدَفُ «بانتشاجانيا» الذي نفخ فيه فاسوديفا (كريشنا)، فملأ الآفاق. وفي المناخ الأخلاقي للحرب كانت نداءات الأصداف هذه بمثابة إعلانٍ علنيٍّ للعزم والغاية العادلة، تُقوّي الحلفاء وتُقلق الظالمين.
